108 Things To Be Grateful For

You have, so much in your life to be grateful for. Even if things are not going great, even if some bad things have happened, there is always something good in your life and something to be grateful for.
Even the bad things, are not always bad, we’ve just trained ourselves to see them that way. Sometimes the things we think are good, or a blessing, ultimately could be bad for us.
An event is never necessarily good or bad. We assign the labels of good or bad based on how we view and understand those events, and also how we they think they will affect us.
With all that being said, if your mind tends to drift towards focusing more towards feeling like everything is bad, then you need to shift your thinking.
How? You need to find things to be grateful for. I did. I took a good look at my life and looked for 108 things that I could give thanks for. I made a list before of things to be grateful for when I didn’t have any money. I took away the pain of being without money and then my situation turned around.
When you focus on being grateful, and finding the thanks in the small things, and finding the blessings in the hardships, your situation will change.
Do this exercise once a week. Find 108 things to be grateful for. I did it, pushed myself to find those things and I’m sharing them below. I urge you to do the same, share them in the comments if you wish.
It will take a hour or two of your time at most, but will steadily change your life and your way of thinking. It will help you develop and attitude of gratitude.
Look through my list if you get stuck with yours; it may just spark something in you to recognize something to be grateful for.

Don’t just do this exercise because you feel like you have to. Don’t even do it because you think you may get something out of it. Do it because you enjoy doing it and truly, when you get started, you’ll love it.
I agree that is is a good exercise, listing the good things in your life.
However for someone that has a lot less than you do, do you not think reading that list could make life more depressing, as they don’t have some of those things they really want and you have?
Hey Chris,
That’s a great point, well made, and I’m glad someone mentioned it.
The odd thing is, I was inspired to write this list, because of exactly that. I was looking at how much more someone else had compared to me. In fact, this well know billionaire pulled up outside my office in a convoy of 5 cars. It made me think about all the things I didn’t have but, then I switched, and started to think about all that I do have.
So initially yes, a person could feel more depressed, however, if they undertake this exercise and follow through, they will realise that they still have so much to be grateful for.

Bro, I’ve been wanting to read this article ever since the email popped into my inbox. Glad I got around to it!
‘When you focus on being grateful, and finding the thanks in the small things, and finding the blessings in the hardships, your situation will change.’
Amen to that! I love how you used 108 btw.
I was going to say that number 39 and 90 go hand-in-hand, but that ain’t always the case now I cum to think of it! : )
Great article.
Milan
Hey Milan, always lovely to hear from you 😀
LOL – I knew someone would say that about 39 and 90! 😆
It’s so powerful as a weekly exercise. It takes a few hours but is totally worth it.
Hope you’re keeping well,
~Amit
Hi Amit,
That’s a great store of blessings you’ve set aside for counting. Its a great exercise anytime ,and it raises our ability to interact positively with life.
Every sunrise and every sunset you travel through on your Earthly journey is a milestone for thanksgiving.
The least we can do is be generous and prompt with our silent gratitude.
Thanks
Mona

Thanks for the recommendation about doing this. I have done gratitude lists before and have found them very helpful. I have never attempted 108 though, so I will give it a try. I am glad that you acknowledge sexual things, those are always important to appreciate.
