Moments Of Absolute Clarity

There have been moments where I have been stuck for content for this blog. I don’t read that much so most of that content that I put onto this blog comes from me. So, inevitably, there have been occasions where I’ve been ripping my hair out trying to think about what I’m going to write about next.

The trouble is, when you get to that stage, you’ve created a block for yourself that is not easy to get out of. The best way, is to get on with something else that you need to do. When you do that and you are completely focused on what you are doing, you will find that you will get “flashes”, so to speak, of ideas that will literally burst into your mind like bolts of lightening.

There is no need to fear any lack creativity. It doesn’t mean you’ve run out of ideas and won’t be able to have any more! Lack of creativity is a result of putting to much pressure on oneself. The way to alleviate that is a change of activity or giving your attention to something else. Your subconscious will continue working on any questions or potential ideas that you had earlier and without you even realising it, you will get bursts of creativity that will take you by surprise.

If you ever feel yourself getting to that stage, relax, change your scenery, do something else that you know needs doing and immerse yourself in that.

Of course you can continue your blogging or creative task, but take a few minutes, and just relax yourself, do some minute meditations (one of the books I’m working on) go look at some flowers, trees, birds (the non human variety) 😛 cars, kick a football around, do some skipping or just get out of your seat and shake that bootaaay!

I can totally relate! I wrote my best tracks and poems during the time i was writing my disso! I thought it may have been a trigger to balence my mental and creative outputs! Either way, i’ve learnt that if i’m mentally stimulated then my creative energy increases ten fold!

    Hi Amit,

    Welcome back. 🙂

I have found that, for me, it’s not so much a block as it is a lack of direction…I usually know what I want to say, just not how I want to say it. If it’s a struggle to write, I know I’m not in the right place yet. As soon as I determine the right tone to take, or the direction I want to go with a topic, articles tend to write themselves. (I wonder if the articles would notice if I went off to do a bit of gardening while they write themselves!) 🙂

Hey Michelle, it’s good to be back!

That last statment of yours may not be as far away as you think. Just think, soon they will probably have computers that can read our thoughts and so you may no longer have to type anything at all, it will all happen telekinetically! 😛

I understand what you’re saying and I know exactly what you mean. Some days…if you try and force it, it, that in itself stops the creative flow. Most days, I just don’t shut up, (I know many of my friends would like nothing more) but I just have too many ideas and then following through on those ideas from start to finish is the hard part.

I’ve totally digressed, but i reckon you’ve probably got the jist of what I was saying! 😆

Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your theme. Kudos

Hiya, I am really glad I’ve found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is really annoying. A good site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Cant find it.
