Bullet Holes I Tells Ya!
Here are some general updates from me on what I’ve been up to as of late. I haven’t been blogging as much as usual. I haven’t gone anywhere, I just haven’t been at the computer as much as normal.
Recently, as well as presenting Backchat I’m now also presenting the Breakfast Show on Westside Radio. I’m presenting it on Tuesday’s Thursdays and Fridays from 7 – 10am. You can listen in West London on 89.6FM or online at https://www.westsideradio.co.uk.
Just over two months ago I was involved in a car accident where a drunk driver ploughed into my beloved car…at 7.15am. What he was doing drunk at that time I’ll never know. My lil’ Pug has now gone up to car heaven and I’m now driving a lovely old BMW. It doesn’t quite handle as well as the Pug but it’s a dream on the motorway! I’m sure my Pug is happy in car heaven.
I’m going to be an extra in Gurinder Chadha’s new film ‘It’s A Wonderful Afterlife’. You’ll probably only get to see about a quarter of my forehead but it’s been an amazing experience none the less. It’s fascinating to see how much detail goes into making a movie and see it all magically come together.
As well as be an extra I’ll be interviewing the cast and crew for the Breakfast show and Backchat. I should hopefully be doing that next week at some point and once I have done them I’ll post them up on here as podcasts for download. I’ll be interviewing Sendhil Ramamurthy who plays Dr Mohinder Suresh in the T.V. show heroes. He’s my favourite character and I’m a huge fan…it’s funny trying to play it cool when I’m on set with him and not pretend to be star-struck. “Play it cool Trig, nice and cool…”*THUD*
On Sunday morning I was on my way home after being out at a club with friends and then while I was just approaching the point where I had my accident and out of nowhere, suddenly, *BANG* Two massive holes in my windscreen and what looks to be like bullet holes. My friends have suggested several theories including: Atomic pea-shooters and grit from a backfiring Tractor…errr no. I’m sticking with my story that it was bullets and that I survived a drive-
thru-by. I also think it could have been an assassination attempt by a rival radio station.
I’ve also just finished reading ‘The Yes Man’ by Danny Wallace. It’s such an awesome book and it comes highly recommended! It got me thinking about the connections of our decisions and what they ultimately lead to. Have you thought about some of the decisions that led you to be where you are today? We don’t always make the best decisions but the best stuff in our lives has often arisen from a ‘Yes’. Danny, if you read this…please can I interview you for my show?
That’s about it for now. I’ve got plenty more to share; all in good time! I hope that you all out there are doing well and enjoying life as much as me! Feel free to post what you’ve been up to below, I would love to hear from you!
The interview should be good fun Amit.
And avoid bullets as a rule in life.
That’s awesome about Sendhil, be sure to let us know when it’s done!
They call me bullet-proof monk Kartikey! 😉
Hey Kirsty! I will do and I’ll upload the Podcast for sure!
OMG dude thank God u weren’t in ur car at that time! I hardly think rival radio stations have enough money or courage to kill such an awesome presenter…. So I’m assuming Gavin from Autoglass couldn’t fix ur windscreen then eh? Lol 😛
