Do This To Springboard Into 2015 With True Intensity
It’s amazing how slowly time passes when you’re young, but as you get older, the years pass much, much faster.
I remember thinking when I was a kid that a year was a long time, but this past year has flown by so fast, that it has made me realise just how valuable and precious every single second is.
It has been the ultimate reminder to me that time is so precious, if we don’t spend it with those we love, doing what we love, soon there won’t be much of it left.
A life spent not doing what you love and with the people you love, is not worth anything to you.
It’s a powerful statement to make but one I feel is more important to emphasise now more so than at any other time in the history of mankind.
It will only be you who will regret not having done any of the things you’ve wanted to do. Only when the time comes – 20, 30, 40 years from now will you look back and feel true regret. The simplest solution is don’t have anything to regret. Find what you love doing and do it. Find who you love doing it with and cherish every second.
I’ve regretted so many things over the past 10 years but one thing I’ve absolutely not regretted is starting this blog. I’ve poured my heart and soul into what you see here before you and and I know when I look back I will feel nothing but pride, love and joy for every second I’ve invested into every word typed here.
As I look back over 2014, there are things I’m deeply grateful for. There are things which I wish I could have been different and there are things I wish I would have accomplished.
How about you, have you taken the time to review your year before you enter the next one and almost forget everything that has happened?
Before you usher in your new year, take the time to review everything that has occurred for you over the past 12 months.
Really take it all in and look at all the wonders and regrets. Understand where you are and then think about what the next phase of your journey is.
Only with a review can we really move forward. Without that process, the likely hood is we’ll have the same goals from the previous year and suffer the same disappointments and failures. Is that what you want? Do you want to continue the vicious circle of unfulfilled desires, or would you like your outcomes to be different this time around?
Now is the time to do this all properly. Don’t bog yourself down by belittling the power of this time of year. Put it to the best possible use that you can and really follow it through.
I hear so many people nowadays say ‘I don’t do new years resolutions, I don’t believe in them’ – that’s bull! It’s only because they’ve tried and failed so many times that they think it is worthless.
Life is too short to become complacent. Harness this time of renewal and use it as supercharge booster to get your life moving the in the direction you desire.
Review your year and look at what you’ve not done so well; what you’ve done great and what you have done way beyond all your own expectations. Keep this review and use it as a gauge. This will allow you to truly see your progress and then move forward and have more wealth, be in better health and fully return to your center.
Let this be your springboard so that 2015 can be better than you possibly imagined!
Wishing you a truly magnificent new year.
Hey Amit,
Great article! Thanks for sharing. The part about new years resolutions, though. I see what you mean, but for some people, I think a new years resolution has this connotation beside it.. kind of feels fake and what not. Don’t get me wrong, goals are great and we should always continue to create new goals for ourselves, but why only start those at the beginning of a year? Why don’t you make them at any time of the year? Just my 2 cents 🙂
Thanks!
Hey Fayeez,
Lovely to hear from you and a very happy new year!
Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more and they are not just for this time of year but for all year around.
My analogy on this is quite apt, in that – image diving into a pool, by just jumping off the side. You can still do a pretty nifty dive, however, if you were to then dive from a springboard, you’d be able to do an even better dive and go even further.
It’s just using the added power of this time of renewal as a springboard, but yes, goals are not just for the new year. They can be created and managed all throughout the year!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!

Thanks for sharing and happy new year to you too.
I completely agree with you, review and move forward.
But then you say “Now is the time to do this all properly”.
My take on this would be to do it anyway. I’m not sure that I will ever do it properly, but I will keep doing the things I love.
After reading your story here, I visualized a baby trying to walk. It keeps falling over and over again (with a smile on the face). It keeps trying till it can walk. It’s amazing to see this process and how we never really see ourselves as ‘babies’ in what we do. Somehow we have everything we need inside ourselves.
Congratulations as you keep adding new inspiration thoughts to this blog.
Hey Alain,
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback and to that I would say you are absolutely right. There’s no need to strive for any kind of perfection, or any kind of standard to begin with, but the key is the initialising, the starting, the growing, the trying the developing; just like the baby in it’s endeavour to take it’s first steps.
A very happy new year to you and thank you again for taking the time to share your powerful words.
All the best,
~Amit
