A Very Simple Mantra To Change Your State

I just got back from a 10 day vacation to the US where I travelled to LA, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and San Francisco and had an amazing time with my friends.
Although I’ve visited LA and Las Vegas before, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and San Francisco were all new destinations for me and so it was incredible to see such diversity, scenic vista’s and meet some incredible people.
All in all I drove 2000 miles in 9 days, which included a day trip to Yosemite, from Lake Tahoe, where we went cycling, climbed up to the Vernal Falls, and saw the amazing views in surrounding mountain ranges.
It’s safe to say I came back exhausted after the trip, but in a good way. I think my friends and I were up by 7am on most mornings, ready to go explore and have fun.
Along the way, there were ups and downs, we spent the long road trips playing games in the car keeping each other entertained and bonding in the way that blokes tend to do! 😆
Whilst on the trip, I had to keep reminding myself of one thing. I had to do this because sometimes I can get bogged down in the moments when things are not going great, and forget about what is most important in that moment.
So before I went away I came up with a little mantra to keep reminding myself to have a enjoy myself and it actually really helped me to make the most of the trip.
My friends may come along and argue that I was a grump so and so, 😛 but all in all, we all returned with fond memories and feeling like we were going to miss each other after the trip, and in my eyes, that was a total success.
So the mantra I wanted to share with you today is below, it’s an image quote I put onto my FB page and now, I remember that quote every single day. Say these words to yourself often, keep reminding yourself not to just keep saying to people ‘I’m busy’ for the sake of it. Don’t just get busy in useless things. Life was meant to be an enjoyable experience!
On that last note, I just wanted to apologise that it’s been a while between articles, still plenty more to come!
Bro,
Great to see a new article. Damn, sounds like a lot of driving! Bet those sights were worth it. Love the mantra! It’s simple, should be common sense, but is easily forgotten. I know how it feels to get tied down by work and other things, to forget to enjoy. These days I only do what feels good. If it’s stressful, it’s just not worth it.
Lovin’ it bro. Keep it going 🙂
Milan
Hey Milan,
Great to hear from you buddy, yeah it was a heck of a luck but a great adventure! Still learning that Mantra well! 🙂 All the best buddy!

I’m glad you had fun, Amit 🙂
That’s a very good mantra to keep in mind, because these days, it’s easy to get caught up in mindless work and to forget that we all have just one life to live. I will admit, that I struggle with that myself so I guess I should be reciting the mantra everyday too 🙂
Thanks for sharing this!
Cheers,
Nelu
